For The Love Of The Game

Last night was Dyson's very first baseball practice. After this past year's football season, we were anxious to see just how excited he would be about this new endeavor. He really hadn't been that into football. He had been the second smallest kid on a team of NINE and under. Pretty intimidating for a five year-old. (Mind you, it was a TACKLE football team.) So, needless to say, we were curious how practice would go. We were pleasantly surprised. He really seems to like baseball and doesn't seem to show any reservations at all. He has quite a little arm on him and isn't afraid to go after the ball. Besides the fact that we nearly froze to death, it was a good time!

I'm still trying to figure this blogging stuff out, so I apologize that these pictures aren't in chronological order- they're backwards! Oh well, "A" for effort, right?

I told him he ran so fast, I could catch him on the camera! ;)

The 21st Century

Well, I guess it's about time I start one of these. Now my friends back home in Missouri (yes, Missouri will always be referred to as "home" no matter how long I live in Texas) can easily keep up with us and what's going on here. It took me WAAAAYYYY too long to figure out how to set this up, so this post will be pretty short.

It has been a very exciting couple of weeks for this household. Not only did we break down and get cell phones, (gasp!!) but we also went all out and finally purchased a computer! I was getting tired of not being in "the loop" and J.D. desperately wanted to burn music for his long car rides back and forth to work. I also was excited to have access to my best friend's blog, which I would keep up with whenever I was in reach of a computer. So Chrissy, a big part of my creating this blog is in honor of you!

Now, before I have to peel my contacts from my eyeballs, I believe I will head to bed.
